Midwestern State falls to Cameron Aggies 9-4 in NCAA Division II softball matchup

At 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, Chipper Mayorga, a former Thomas Edison High School star, and her college team, the Midwestern State Mustangs, suffered a 9-4 defeat against the Cameron Aggies in their NCAA Division II softball game.

The contest was held at McMahon Field and Athletics Center. This marked the teams’ second game against each other this season. The previous matchup, also on Friday, Feb. 27, saw the Mustangs fall 9-2 to the Aggies.

Mayorga tallied two hits out of four at-bats and scored once for the Mustangs.

The next scheduled game for the Mustangs will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, against the Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles at Tom Heath Field at Lawson Plaza.
