Midwestern State falls 2-0 to Texas–Permian Basin in Division II softball matchup

At 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, the Midwestern State Mustangs, featuring former Thomas Edison High School standout Chipper Mayorga, suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons in NCAA Division II softball action.

The contest was held at Mustangs Park and marked the first meeting of the season between the Mustangs and the Falcons.

Mayorga had one hit in three plate appearances.

The Mustangs will play their next game on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 3 p.m. at Mustangs Park, once again facing Texas–Permian Basin.
