McMurry War Hawks fall 7-2 to UMHB on March 3 behind San Antonio athlete’s pitching

The McMurry War Hawks, featuring former John Jay High School player Nyema Muhammad, were defeated 7-2 by the UMHB Crusaders in their NCAA Division III softball contest Tuesday, March 3, at 4 p.m.

Held at Edwards Field, this marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The War Hawks previously edged out the Crusaders with an 8-7 win during their prior matchup on Tuesday, March 3.

In this game, Muhammad gave up three earned runs during 0.1 innings pitched, also issuing one walk.

The War Hawks are set to face the Ozarks Eagles next on Friday, March 6, at 2 p.m. at Edwards Field.
