The following day, on April 13, 2025, Doggett criticized the impact of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) on social welfare programs. He expressed his concern in a tweet, stating how quickly it undermines critical programs, urging prominent figures to reconsider, “The only thing efficient about DOGE is how quickly it undermines critical, efficient programs like Social Security. Trump, Musk, and their Republican enablers need to get their #HandsOff this hard-earned benefit.”
On April 14, 2025, Doggett addressed recent actions by RFK Jr., who made job cuts and criticized them for spreading conspiracy theories and destabilizing efforts. Doggett remarked on this initiative via Twitter, stating “Conspiracy theories, lies, and sheer paranoia.
