On March 11, 2026, Lujan recounted his efforts to support foster care students: “Last year, I brought Jaydan, a 17-year-old foster student from #HD118, to the Capitol to testify on a bill we were working on helping foster care students attend college. He even had to get an excused absence from my office for missing school that day. That bill PASSED.”
