John Lujan, a Republican who has represented Texas’s 118th House district since his election in 2021, recently shared updates about his community engagement and campaign activities on social media.

On April 6, Lujan described attending a local boxing match to support a student from his young adults Sunday School class. He wrote, “This past Saturday evening, I made a promise to a student in my young adults Sunday School class — I told him I’d be there to watch him fight in his next boxing match. My wife doesn’t care for boxing, so I went to El Chema, where ‘Fists & Glory’ was happening

On April 8, Lujan discussed meetings with local officials at the Karnes County Courthouse. He stated, “Busy day yesterday! I started early at the Karnes County Courthouse, visiting with elected officials to discuss what they can expect from me once I’m in Congress. Listening to their priorities and concerns firsthand is exactly how I believe representation should work.

Lujan continued sharing campaign trail experiences on April 9: “On Tuesday, after a productive day out on the campaign trail in Karnes County, I headed home to pick up my wonderful wife, Freda, so she could join me at the Karnes County Republican Women’s meeting.

She loves coming to these meetings. Her support and insight mean everything to https://t.co/MoTopUqZKe” (April 9, 2026).

Lujan’s ongoing outreach reflects his approach since entering office after winning the special election for Texas’s House District 118 in 2021. He succeeded Leo Pacheco as state representative.
