Joaquin Castro, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 20th district since 2013, has shared his views on several pressing issues through recent social media posts. Born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1974, Castro has been an active political figure and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2003 to 2013. His educational background includes a BA from Stanford University and a JD from Harvard University.

On May 13, 2025, Castro addressed public curiosity regarding the intentions of America’s Founding Fathers when drafting the Constitution. He stated that “Americans often wonder what the Founders were thinking when writing our Constitution.” He emphasized that the Founders intended to prevent monarchs from influencing government officials through bribery.

In another post dated May 14, 2025, Castro highlighted an issue involving truth-telling individuals who faced termination from their positions. He simply noted that “These people were fired for telling the truth.”

Later on May 14, Castro discussed his appearance on Jim Acosta’s show where he spoke about his recent visit to Northern Mexico. During this trip, he met with a young U.S. citizen facing significant health challenges after being deported without due process. In his tweet, he mentioned that “Stephen Miller has threatened to undo habeas corpus—a fundamental legal” right.

Joaquin Castro continues to engage with critical national conversations while serving as a congressman for Texas’ 20th district.
