Later that day, Castro expressed sorrow over a violent incident via another tweet posted on May 22, 2025. He wrote: “I am saddened and horrified by this violent, hateful attack at the Capital Jewish Museum and the death of two Israeli embassy staff members.” He extended condolences to their families and the people of Israel.
In another post on May 22, 2025, Castro criticized recent legislative actions by Republicans with regard to budgetary measures. He stated: “The Republican budget bill that just passed the House is a direct attack on Texas working families, kids, seniors, and women.” He noted that all Democrats opposed this bill due to its potential negative impact on various demographic groups.
Joaquin Castro was born in San Antonio in 1974 and continues to reside there. A Stanford University graduate with a BA earned in 1996 and a JD from Harvard University obtained in 2000, he has dedicated much of his career to public service.
