Congressman Greg Casar, who represents Texas’ 35th district in the U.S. House of Representatives, has raised concerns on social media regarding political developments involving former President Donald Trump and Governor Kristi Noem.

On July 22, 2025, Casar posted about alleged attempts by Donald Trump to influence electoral processes in Texas. He wrote, “This is the biggest story in politics right now that almost no one knows about. Donald Trump knows he can’t win the midterm election fair and square. So he’s trying to rig the rules in Texas before an election even happens. If Trump’s insane redistricting plan happens in Texas,” expressing concern over a potential redistricting initiative.

The following day, on July 23, Casar addressed delays in federal emergency response in Texas, stating, “After Kristi Noem delayed FEMA’s search and rescue in Texas by 72 hours, the head of FEMA’s Urban Search and Rescue Branch is resigning. Noem’s failures must be investigated, and she must be held accountable.”

Later that same day, Casar questioned efforts by some politicians to keep certain documents confidential: “What is in the Epstein files that Trump and Republicans want so badly to cover up?”

Greg Casar began representing Texas’s 35th District after succeeding Lloyd Doggett in 2023. Born in Houston in 1989 and currently residing in Austin, Casar graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011.
