Congressman Greg Casar has recently used his social media platform to criticize former President Donald Trump’s policies and their impact on American families, as well as to call for increased transparency in government.

On September 2, 2025, Casar posted: “Trump cut clean energy programs to pay for billionaire tax cuts. Now working families are getting killed by higher energy prices.” The following day, he continued his critique of Trump with another post stating: “You can understand the problem in America right now with just two numbers. Yesterday we learned Trump has made $5 billion for himself while kicking 17 million Americans off health care.”

Later on September 3, Casar wrote: “It’s time to end the coverup. I signed.”

Greg Casar has represented his district since winning the general election against Steven Wright in 2024, securing approximately 67% of the vote. In the previous cycle, he won against Dan McQueen with over 72% of the vote.
