Congressman Greg Casar, who represents Texas’ 35th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing national policy issues.

On July 15, 2025, Casar wrote, “What the Trump Administration is doing to Social Security is a scandal.” Later that day, he added another post stating, “It’s time to raise the minimum wage and raise taxes on billionaires to bring down the cost of health care, education, and housing.”

Greg Casar began serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 35th district in 2023 after succeeding Lloyd Doggett. Born in Houston in 1989 and currently residing in Austin, Casar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia (FACTS 1-4).
