Congressman Greg Casar, currently serving Texas’ 35th district in the U.S. Congress, recently took to social media to address various political and economic issues. Casar has been active in Congress since 2023 after replacing Lloyd Doggett.
On May 6, 2025, Congressman Casar expressed strong opinions about Social Security and a prominent business figure. He stated “This is a scandal. Protect Social Security. Fire Elon Musk.”
Later that day, he highlighted the financial dealings of former President Donald Trump’s family on social media. Casar posted: “NEW: Trump’s sons are raking in billions while crossing the globe: A luxury hotel in Dubai. A tower in Saudi Arabia. A new golf course in Qatar. A new private club in Washington. Trump and his family get richer. Working families get screwed.”
Additionally, Congressman Casar commented on healthcare policy and its implications for millions of Americans. In another post from May 6, he noted that “83 million Americans get healthcare through Medicaid. Every single one is at risk because Republicans want to cut health care to pay for billionaire tax cuts.”
Greg Casar was born in Houston, Texas, in 1989 and resides in Austin. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, earned in 2011.
