Congressman Greg Casar, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 35th district since 2023, shared his views on various political and economic issues through a series of tweets. Casar, a University of Virginia graduate born in Houston in 1989, currently resides in Austin.
On May 4, 2025, Congressman Casar expressed concerns about former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric. He stated that “Trump targets the vulnerable. He scapegoats immigrants and trans people constantly.” Casar questioned Trump’s motives, suggesting that Trump uses these tactics to distract from economic issues such as rising prices and job losses.
The following day, May 5, 2025, Casar criticized an unnamed individual involved in cryptocurrency deals. He tweeted that “The man who made $2.9 billion off corrupt crypto deals thinks the problem is kids have too many toys.”
Later on the same day, he addressed issues related to tariffs and donations made by Apple CEO Tim Cook. In his tweet, Casar alleged that “Tim Cook gives $1 million to Trump’s inauguration and gets an exception to the tariffs.” He further noted that small business owners would not receive similar treatment and described this as “Corruption, plain and simple.”
Greg Casar continues to voice his opinions on political matters affecting both his constituents and broader national policies.
