Congressman Greg Casar, who represents Texas’s 35th district in the U.S. Congress, published a series of posts on July 23, 2025 addressing corporate practices, the ongoing conflict in Gaza, and labor protections.
In a post at 17:14 UTC, Casar announced his intention to introduce new legislation targeting data-driven corporate pricing and wage strategies. He wrote: “NEW: Giant corporations should not be allowed to jack up your prices or lower your wages using data they got spying on you. Whether you know it or not, you may already be getting ripped off. I’m proposing the first federal bill to ban this practice.”
Later that day at 18:51 UTC, Casar commented on the situation in Gaza. He stated: “The Israeli military has killed over 1,000 Palestinians in Gaza seeking aid, and its blockade is starving innocent children. There are no words for how horrifying this is. We must end Netanyahu’s war on Gaza’s civilians, and we must end the United States’ support for it.”
At 19:54 UTC on July 23rd, Casar addressed labor issues related to former President Donald Trump’s policy proposals. He posted: “Trump wants to eliminate the minimum wage for home health care workers. Trump wants to end protections for roof collapses and suffocation in mines. Trump’s Republican Party is anti-worker – period.”
Greg Casar has served as a member of Congress since replacing Lloyd Doggett in 2023 and currently resides in Austin after being born in Houston in 1989. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011.
