Congressman Greg Casar, who has represented Texas’s 35th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing various national and local issues. Casar, 33, was born in Houston and resides in Austin. He succeeded Lloyd Doggett in Congress and is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
On July 15, 2025, Casar called for the public release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. In his post he stated: “Release the Epstein files.”
Later that day, Casar commented on former President Donald Trump’s economic policies. In his statement dated July 15, 2025, he wrote: “You’re paying more so Donald Trump can collect bribes from companies that want to avoid his tariffs. Trump is good at increasing two things: his own net worth and your prices.”
In another post from July 15, 2025, Casar referenced recent flooding events and called for bipartisan support to investigate the response by Secretary Noem. He noted: “The Houston Chronicle editorial board is calling on Republicans to join me, @RepJasmine, and @RepRobertGarcia in investigating Secretary Noem’s botched response to recent flooding.”
Greg Casar continues to serve as a prominent Democratic voice from Texas’s 35th District since taking office in 2023.
