Congressman Greg Casar, who represents Texas’s 35th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed issues ranging from artificial intelligence to healthcare and disaster response on his social media account.
On March 11, 2026, Casar posted about concerns regarding artificial intelligence and political accountability: “AI is one of the most important forces shaping our lives, but Americans don’t trust either party to deal with it. Democrats need bold solutions to make sure AI doesn’t just make a few billionaires richer while screwing over everyone else.”
The following day, Casar commented on former President Donald Trump’s approach to healthcare funding and military spending: “Trump says we can’t afford health care for Americans but wants a blank check for his war of choice.” Later that same day, he raised concerns about federal emergency management: “Not enough people are talking about how Kristi Noem and Trump have undermined FEMA. @RepJoeNeguse and I have a bill to fix it.”
Casar has represented Texas’s 35th district since 2023 after succeeding Lloyd Doggett. He was born in Houston in 1989 and currently resides in Austin. Casar earned his BA from the University of Virginia in 2011. In recent elections, he defeated Steven Wright in 2024 with over two-thirds of the vote and Dan McQueen in 2022 by a similar margin.
