Rep. Chip Roy Press Office, representing Texas’ 21st District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, has shared several concerns on social media regarding national fiscal policies and immigration enforcement. These posts highlight pressing issues as perceived by Rep. Roy.
On June 20, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy’s office highlighted the national debt issue with a tweet stating “$37 trillion is now the US National Debt.” The tweet expressed concern over government spending levels and their implications for the republic’s stability.
Later that day, another tweet from his office emphasized public opinion on immigration enforcement: “An OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of Americans support the deportation of CRIMINAL illegal aliens by ICE officers.” The message stressed that enforcing immigration laws aligns with the desires of the American populace.
In a subsequent post on June 20, Rep. Chip Roy addressed safety concerns for ICE agents, noting a significant rise in assaults against them: “There’s a 500% INCREASE in ASSAULTS against @ICEgov agents.” He expressed gratitude to ICE agents, particularly those at ERO San Antonio, for their dedication to law enforcement and public safety.
Chip Roy was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and currently resides in Austin. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994 and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas-Austin in 2003.
