On July 4, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy’s office issued a notice concerning Comfort/Kendall County, labeled as #TX21. The tweet included an alert symbol and directed readers to further information via a link: “Comfort/Kendall County Notice #TX21 https://t.co/d6QCBJlivf”.
The following day, July 5, 2025, Rep. Roy addressed the impact of flooding in Texas Hill Country. He emphasized support for those affected by loss of life: “We just got to make sure all the people who have been affected by loss of life that we’re there for them that we’re praying for them.”
Later on July 5, he reported on search and rescue operations in Kerrville which continued overnight as water levels decreased. He expressed hope and support for ongoing efforts: “The search and rescue efforts in Kerrville were going strong through the night as the water recedes… Prayerful for them and for continued efforts this morning as we head back out.”
Chip Roy has served in Congress since replacing Lamar Smith in 2019. Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972, he resides in Austin with his family.
