On June 4, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy announced the introduction of legislation aimed at making DOGE permanent by equipping Congress with tools to address waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending effectively. In his post, he stated: “DOGE lifted up the hood of federal government spending and put on full display the massive”.
Later that day, Rep. Roy shared a meeting with Maria Espinoza, National Director and Co-Founder of Stolen Lives Quilt Project. The discussion focused on border security and supporting victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens. He expressed solidarity with Angel families through his post: “Rep. Roy was delighted to meet with @StolenLivesQlt National Director and Co-Founder Maria Espinoza to discuss border security and helping the victims of illegal alien crime and their families.”
Additionally, Rep. Roy commended law enforcement efforts in New England for their work in ensuring public safety. His statement read: “Good work by @EROBoston and local law enforcement in New England.” This acknowledgment highlighted the importance of removing criminals from communities.
Chip Roy is a congressman representing Texas’ 21st district since 2019 after succeeding Lamar Smith. Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972, he resides in Austin. He holds degrees from the University of Virginia (BS) and the University of Texas-Austin (JD).
