Rep. Chip Roy, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 21st district, has been active on social media discussing recent legislative efforts and law enforcement actions. Roy, who succeeded Lamar Smith in 2019, continues to engage with his constituents through various platforms.
On May 21, Rep. Chip Roy emphasized collaboration with the president and congressional colleagues, stating “We’re going to work with the president today. We’re going to work with our colleagues to deliver, but there’s a long way to go. I want to be very clear. We’ve got to deliver on what we’re talking about,” highlighting ongoing legislative processes.
Later that day, Roy acknowledged immigration enforcement efforts by ICE in San Antonio, noting “In less than a week, ICE arrested nearly 300 illegal aliens in the San Antonio area.” He expressed gratitude towards @EROSanAntonio for their role in maintaining safety within TX-21 communities and across Texas.
The following day, on May 22, Rep. Roy announced his appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” inviting followers to tune in with a brief message: “Rep. Roy is on @SquawkCNBC NOW! Tune in!”
Chip Roy was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and currently resides in Austin. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in 1994 and later earned a JD from the University of Texas-Austin in 2003.
