Chip Roy, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Texas’ 21st district since 2019, has taken to social media to express his views on the FACE Act and its implications. On June 10, 2025, the press office of Rep. Chip Roy released a series of tweets addressing what they consider misconceptions about the FACE Act.

In a tweet posted on June 10, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy’s Press Office challenged claims about the FACE Act by stating: “FALSE: ‘The FACE Act does not make felons out of 1st time offenders.’ FACT: By coupling FACE Act violations with ‘Conspiracy Against Rights’ charges, the Biden Admin made felons out of Americans for peaceful acts such as sidewalk counseling or singing hymns.”

Another tweet from the same day contested another aspect of the FACE Act’s impact, stating: “FALSE: ‘The FACE Act helps deter bad actors from targeting abortion facilities, churches, & Pregnancy Resource Centers.’ FACT: Violence against churches in America has increased by 800% since 2018 – an average of 39 attacks every month, coinciding with 96 recorded attacks on”
