Rep. Chip Roy Press Office, representing Texas’ 21st district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, shared a series of tweets addressing various political issues. Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972, Roy is an alumnus of the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin. He resides in Austin.
On June 3, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy’s press office tweeted a message directed at Russ Vought, stating “Send ’em over, @russvought. It is time to CUT the waste, fraud, and abuse.” The tweet emphasizes a call for action against perceived inefficiencies.
Later that day, another tweet was posted concerning national security issues. The tweet claimed that “Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas RELEASED a suspected member of the TERRORIST organization Al-Qaeda from our border.” It criticized what it referred to as “RADICAL progressive Democrat policies,” suggesting these policies are responsible for allowing potentially dangerous individuals into communities.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Roy expressed his stance on fiscal policy by supporting budgetary cuts known as DOGE cuts. He stated “I support these rescissions – and more. The House and Senate GOP should pass these expeditiously.” This statement aligns with his broader advocacy for financial prudence within government operations.
Chip Roy has been active in promoting fiscal responsibility and addressing security concerns during his tenure in Congress since succeeding Lamar Smith in 2019.
