Biola Eagles defeat Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans 9-8 behind Ariana Banos’ performance

The Biola Eagles claimed a 9-8 victory over the Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans in their NCAA Division II softball matchup at noon on Saturday, March 14. Former Cornerstone Christian Schools standout Ariana Banos, now playing for Biola, contributed to the win.

The contest at Freedom Field marked the third time this season the Eagles faced the Vulcans. In the prior day’s meeting on Friday, March 13, Biola fell short, losing 2-1.

Banos delivered three hits in her five plate appearances.

The Eagles are set to meet the Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans again at Freedom Field on Saturday, March 14, at 1:30 p.m.
